In this online gallery we present two series of the photographer Giedrius Liagas – “This side of the other side“ and “The first year after the End of the World“. In the series of the photographs “This side of the other side“ subtle relationship with nature is brought to light. In the created sea abstraction ships contours are emerging. It could look that this frequent theme in art and photography should be presented traditionally. However, the author pictiorally “floats“ the image by creating symbolic picture full of color nuances. Colorfully nuanced emotion is associative in the mentioned cycle, transitive from natural photographic image to symbolized image of the world. In the cycle “The first year after the End of the World“ also the specifics (figure, its part) becomes the part of photographic composition, not the specifics, but the shape becomes basis of frequent photograph.
