Algimantas Kezys

Photographer Algimantas Kezys was born in 1928 October 28 in Vištytis. In 1950 he arrived to USA, where he was living and creating all the time. In 2015 February 23 he died in Boston, USA. The artist organized more than 60 author exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, his pieces have gained many translations both in Lithuania and abroad press. Artist‘s creative work concludes of colored and uncolored photography.

Awards: in 1991 for the photographic art was nominated USA LB Cultural council premium; in 1992 – LFS member of the honor; in 1994 – it was given photographer (AFIAP) name of the honor by the international artistic photography federation (FIAP); in 1999 he was rewarded the order of the Great Lithuanian duke Gediminas V degree.

Algimantas Kezys has published 120 artistic photo albums, has organized many and other Lithuanian artists exhibitions in Chicago.
