In the Photo Art Biennial „Photographic stories“ in Germany will be represented 12 Lithuanian photographer’s creation and Media art works
On 25th of June, 2016, in historical castle of Baron Munchausen family (Hobeck gallery „Förderkreis Kultur und Denkmalpflege“ e. v., in Leitzkau, Germany) Lithuanian photography biennial will be presented. The main theme of this biennial will be “Photographic stories”. Theme of Biennial contains travels, cities, old town’s and festival’s thematic, people relation’s problematic, man and woman life themes, issues of identity and memory.
In this Biennial 12 professional photographers from Lithuania, will be represent art photographs created by unique and specific techniques. Behind the scenes of the magnificent castle, will be presented black and white photography, colour photography, also, analogic photography (printed by hands), fish – eye- technic, infrared ray technic, also, photography art is connected with Media art. It will be representing analogical, contemporary, also, interactive photography. Representing different photographie’s techniques it seeks to represent Lithuanian photography evolution from its start till these times.
The visitors of this Biennial will have unique possibility to introduce not only with different generations representing Lithuanian photographers creation, also, it is a possibility to introduce with Lithuanian photography technic’s diversity to identify individual photographic history, theme or genre.
Some kind of this Biennial intrigue – different art epochs, synthesis, dialogue between what is contemporary or what is old, there are near famous Lithuanian photographers works. It will be a possibility to see big medieval castle architecture.
In the time of Biennial opening the attention will be dedicated also for Media Art. It will be shown famous photographers Professor Romualdas Požerskis and his daughter Monika Požerskytė video “Burning Man“. Also photographer and Media artist Associate Ph Remigijus Venckus video „Incresible lines. Berlin“. Following in this Biennial take participate photographers : Alis Balbierius, Associate Ph. Remigijus Venckus, Professor Romualdas Požerskis and Monika Požerskytė, Assoc. ph. Rimantas Plungė, Rymantas Penkauskas, Gintaras Jaronis, Vilija Kailiūtė, Robertas Misiukonis, Kristina Valasevičienė, Iridijus Švelnys ir Eglė Ščerbinskaitė.
We invite everyone who is travelling around Germany to stop in the town of Leitzkau, to enter to the castle and to visit the exhibition, also, to have a look at different techniques of art photography, to feel the charisma of this exclusive event and to find Your favorite of all exhibited art works in the exhibition. The exhibition will be opened till August 7.
